Tuesday May 19th, 2020 Blue Cheese Day! Pork Loin Roast and Blue Potatoes by George Geary

Blue cheese is one of the cheeses that people love or hate. I tell the haters that they probably have been eating cheep bad blues! Maytag Blue from Iowa at one point was the only US cheese maker worthy of driving through Newton, Iowa. Today a handful of makers are making great blues. My favorite is Point Reyes from Norther California. Here are the recipes for the two dishes we made and the video. Plus the website for you to order the cheese through the mail!

Pork Lavender Loin with Herbs by George Geary

One of the things I bring back (don't tell customs) from France is Lavender Honey. Its honey that has been created from bees that have pollinated lavender not honey that has been infused with lavender. A big difference!

While conducting my Temecula Tour this past weekend one of the stops is the Lavender Company on Front street. They carry the honey so here is the recipe for Pork Loin.
