Blue cheese is one of the cheeses that people love or hate. I tell the haters that they probably have been eating cheep bad blues! Maytag Blue from Iowa at one point was the only US cheese maker worthy of driving through Newton, Iowa. Today a handful of makers are making great blues. My favorite is Point Reyes from Norther California. Here are the recipes for the two dishes we made and the video. Plus the website for you to order the cheese through the mail!

May 12th: A Surprise Birthday Cake for Ivy /
When you get a knock on the door from the soon to be 6 year old next store neighbor requesting a birthday cake you cant help but deliver. Plus she asked for my favorite cake. A Rich Chocolate Cake and Chocolate Cream Cheese icing. I decided to make it a “surprise” cake. Which means, when she cuts into the center a treasure trove of M&M’s will be cascading out.
